Terms and Conditions Please review the following terms and conditions carefully before any work is carried out. Quotes and Invoices 1. Accuracy of Quotes: It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that all quotes contain accurate details regarding items and quantities.

Once a quote is accepted, we will not be held accountable for any discrepancies. If you are unsure about any details in the quote, please do not hesitate to request clarification prior to acceptance. All quotes will be provided in writing; verbal quotes are not valid.

2. Agreement: A. We agree to supply and install the products as specified in the quote.

B. You agree to pay for the goods as per the agreed terms.

C. The terms outlined here are part of the sale agreement.

D. Any changes to these terms will only be valid if confirmed in writing and signed by both you and the Director of the Company.

E. Your statutory rights remain unaffected by these terms.

Survey 1. The agreement is contingent upon a full survey and measurement of the estimated work.

2. We will schedule a surveyor’s visit to your premises. You must ensure access to the property for inspection. Due to multiple appointments, the surveyor may not arrive at a fixed time but will notify you by text when en route. Price & Payment terms.

1. A 50% deposit is required upon accepting a quote. Payment can be made via credit/debit card, cash, or bank transfer. We do not accept cheques.

2. All prices are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate. Should the VAT rate change before installation, any additional VAT charges will be payable by you.

3. By accepting a quote, either verbally or electronically, you agree to the following terms and conditions. It is your responsibility to ensure you have read and understood them.

4. For insurance-related work, payment must be made by the customer upfront, and they will then claim reimbursement from their insurance provider.

5. No reductions from the original contract will be allowed unless confirmed in writing by the Director of the Company.

6. No warranties or guarantees will be issued until full payment has been received.

7. If any defects are found in the doors or hardware prior to installation, we will arrange a return and replacement with the supplier, and a new installation date will be agreed.

8. The remaining balance is due on the day of installation, If not all items are installed on the scheduled fitting day, the payment will be adjusted, and you will only be charged for the work completed, failure to make a payment will result in your account being placed on hold and no further work will be carried out until your account is up to date.

9. Refund Policy: Refunds cannot be processed for bespoke orders, such as internal uPVC, composite, or made-to-measure doors, as these cannot be returned to the manufacturer.

10.Order Cancellations: Any cancellations will incur a 2% administration fee (minimum £20 + VAT) and potentially a restocking fee, supplier dependent.

11.All goods remain the property of Mr Joinery Newcastle Ltd until the full balance has been paid and cleared. Fitting Day Information

1. Arrival Time: While we aim to arrive within the scheduled time window, delays may occur due to the nature of the job. If necessary, appointments may be rearranged. We will make every effort to reschedule promptly.

2. Damage Documentation: Upon arrival, we will document any existing damage to walls, floors, or door frames. These images are for internal use only and will be kept confidential.

3. Preparation: Please remove any valuable or fragile items from the area where work will be carried out, and cover personal possessions, such as sofas and beds.

4. Safety Protocol: We do not use dust sheets as they may present a tripping hazard. Fitters will not remove footwear, and work will not proceed if this is required.

5. Door Fitting: Internal doors will be planed on-site to fit your existing frames, which minimizes potential damage from transporting doors in and out of your property. We do not plane doors outside your property.

6. Frame Condition: We do not repair or fill existing frames but will fit doors to your existing frames. We are not responsible for any pre-existing issues such as paintedover hinges, gaps, or twisted frames. If required, we can replace frames at an additional cost.

7. Frame Work Recommendations: We advise that any sanding or painting of frames should be completed after door installation.

8. Hinges: Standard installations include two 3-inch hinges per door, unless an upgrade was chosen at the point of purchase.

9. Hardware Availability: In the event that chosen hardware is out of stock, temporary hardware will be used until the desired items become available, and a new installation date will be arranged. Please note these will be temporary and will be all of the same style however a few defects may be noticeable.

10.Cardboard Packers: It is common for us to use cardboard packers behind some hinges. While efforts are made to hide them, they may occasionally be slightly visible.

11.Door Inspection: Please inspect doors before installation. Once the doors are hung, they will be deemed fit for purpose and cannot be exchanged unless a manufacturing fault is identified.

12.Installation: To ensure we can work efficiently and safely, we kindly ask that you allow us to focus on the task at hand. We completely understand your interest and are happy to answer any questions or provide updates when appropriate. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated, and we aim to deliver the best results for you.

13.Clean-Up: Our fitters will make every effort to clean and vacuum the installation area; however, further cleaning may be required by you, particularly if you have internal uPVC doors. External Door and Window Fitting

1. Installation Disturbance: Expect some disturbance and dust during installation. Please ensure the area is cleared prior to our arrival, and we cannot be held liable for damage to any items left in the area. We do not disconnect or reconnect alarm systems, or remove/reinstall curtains or blinds.

2. Access Requirements: Access to a standard electricity supply is required. We also ask that any scaffolding is not obstructing our access to any windows we are installing, we are not insured to remove or rearrange any scaffolding.

3. Making Good: We can repair plaster, flooring, brickwork, or rendering surrounding the installation at a cost. However, we are not responsible for repairs to surrounding tiling, wallpaper, paintwork, or the removal of glass from old fittings that you have requested to retain.

4. Structural Defects: Our surveyor may not detect structural instability or defects. If such issues arise, you are still required to pay the full agreed price, and additional charges may apply if the installation needs modification due to structural concerns.

5. Disposal of Old Doors: We are unable to dispose of old doors, as we do not have a waste carrier’s license. We can, however, recommend a licensed waste disposal service for collection. Guarantee and Warranty

1. Adjustments: Doors may settle after installation. We will return within 3 months to make adjustments free of charge. For external doors, the guarantee extends to 1 year.

2. Warranty: All doors and hardware are covered by a 1-year warranty. External composite doors carry a warranty of up to 10 years.

3. Variations in Hardware: Due to bulk purchasing, slight variations in the color, shade, and specifications of hardware may occur. We will always strive to match hardware as closely as possible.

4. Reporting Faults: Any damages or manufacturing faults must be reported within 48 hours of installation. After this period, the goods will be considered fit for purpose.

5. Supply Only: If you have received goods through supply-only services, we advise inspecting them upon delivery. Any defects must be reported within 48 hours, after which the items will be considered accepted.

6. Warranty Voiding: Any accessories attached to the doors (e.g., doorbells, hooks) will void the warranty.

7. Care Instructions: Hanging wet clothing over internal doors can cause warping, which voids the warranty.

8. Natural Wood: Oak is a natural material, and we cannot guarantee a precise match in color or grain. Minor imperfections under 10mm are considered acceptable.

9. Priming and Painting: Our white internal doors (excluding uPVC) are supplied primed and require painting. Other door finishes, such as grey, black, and walnut, may require touch-ups after installation, which is not provided unless specified.

10.Defective Materials: Any issues related to faulty workmanship under warranty will be resolved at our discretion, either through repair or replacement.

11.Misuse or Damage: If our product is misused, tampered with, or damaged in any way, the guarantee will become void, and any necessary repairs will be carried out at an additional cost.

Additional Terms • We have a zero-tolerance policy towards aggressive or violent behavior. Such behavior will result in the immediate cessation of all work. • Please note that due to legal constraints, we are unable to dispose of your old doors without a waste carrier's license. We can recommend an alternative service for disposal.

While we strive to complete all installations in a single visit, there may be instances where we need to return due to faulty products. If this occurs, we may need to reschedule the appointment. We understand this may cause inconvenience; however, please note that we will not offer compensation for any consequential loss.
